Happy Mail Day – Schnitzel & Boo Mini Quilt Received

 

I was so excited when I heard the postman ring, headed immediately to the door, of course followed by little feets like always. And then it was here, my “Schnitzel & Boo Miniquilt. My partner was Fairly Merry and I totally love my package. I got so much more than I was expecting. Just incredible. Thank you so much Mary.

 

First Time I got Bella Solids and Washi Tape (yes shame on me I know), cant wait to try them. And Im so in love with the wonderful scooter fabric. Lovely Aurifil in great colors too, I just have black, grey, and white in my stash, so these will be well treasured.

“Whirlwind” a free craftsy pattern

 

I’m sure some of you know that I participated in the “Schnitzel & Boo Mini Quilt Swap” some weeks ago. And I can finally reveal what I designed for my partner Tara in Australia. And sadly Im still waiting to get a mini quilt for myself, Im already stalking my postbox. *g*

I designed this flying geese pattern for Tara, coz she loves everything modern and a ton Tula Pink of course *g* And then I thought I just could make you all happy. So I decided to make this “Whirlwind” pattern free for you all.

Some Progress Shots In Between

 

I really want to try to blog more, not just for WIP Wednesday once a week. And I want to show more of the process in between, not just how far I got.

Every 2 weeks I join a local quilt guild meeting and I totally love it there. Im fairly new and was totally excited when they gifted me this lovely book for my wedding. I couldnt be more happier.

Schnitzel & Boo Mini Quilt Swap

Im happy that Im already finished finished with the mini quilt for my partner and also did a matching mug rug. Just need to label the quilt. I can just show sneak peeks or she will find out, that it is for her.

Pouch for Washing Utensils

My father requested a really big pouch for his washing utensils,when he goes on vacation. He told me the measurements and picked some fabrics from the sunnyside collection by Kate Spain. Already started to sew, just have to wait for a zipper like always. I really should order some more.

Package from America

Today arrived our long awaited package from my sweet friend Tanyia in Florida. We couldnt wait to unpack it.

The top layer was filled with presents for the kids and lots of sweets.
And then there was my area, all only for me, some things I wished to get, some I even didnt expected.

Totally in love with my new tablerunner, and all those wonderful fabrics.

Finally back with a wonderful new love!

I know long time no post and it was really long. But I also didnt sewed much. I just started a few weeks ago. And then it happened my sewing machine broke. Stopped working for me. So I did what I wanted to do since 3 years and bought her – the love of my life *G*

And Im totally in love, she is so calm, and sewing is perfectly with her. But hmm maybe she really needs a name. *g* Any suggestions?

I was in the middle of a christmas project for a friend, when my old machine broke. Used this wonderful fabric – Aviary2 by Joel Dewberry. And Im totally in love with it.

But my new machine didnt arrived in time. So the finished cushion will be gifted this saturday, when we are invited for lunch at there home.

This is how far I got today 1/3 already done. And I really love it.

What happened in the past month?

Yes its true I finished it. Amelies quilt is now handquilting, and totally loved during this winter season, for snuggling on the couch.

I promise this was not a single post and then silence for another year. I have tons of things to catch up. Lots of people asked for tablerunners and cushions, and I also joined a swap.

W.I.P Wednesday - little progress

Yes and its really a little little progress here, but i have a really good excuse. First of all my sewing machine is in our new home (we will move at the end of february totally there). So everything is packed and I cant start new things. And the second one is, little baby Enya joined us last tuesday.

christmas present finished

Da ich schon lange nichts mehr geschrieben habe, auch nicht wirklich was vollendet hatte, kann ich nun endlich einen kleinen Tischquilt zeigen, und so viel verraten, es ist ein Weihnachtsgeschenk, für wen bleibt noch geheim. Und Amelie war voll erfreut, dass diesmal sie halten durfte für die Fotos.

I know I wasnt writing much the last month, but there was nothing to write, no projects finished, till today. A little tablequilt – a christmas present – for whom I wont tell now. And Amelie was so glad, that she was choosed to hold it up while I was taking pics of the quilt.


Und in Zukunft hab ich dann auch wieder etwas mehr Dinge hier, da bald einiges fertig werden wird.

Pieps ...

... unsere Küken kamen nach einer doch etwas langen Reise gut in ihrem neuen zu Hause an, eins davon bei der kleinen Melina in Köln, die es scheinbar ziemlich gern hat.

... our little chickens arrived after a long journey, save in there homes, one was for little Melina in colonia, and she loves it.

Miniquilt

Nach lange Zeit hab ich endlich mal wieder meine Nähmaschine ausgepackt und konnte dieses kleine Geschenk Daniels Mama zur Begrüßung überreichen.

Ich kanns nich glauben, dachte schon der kommt nich mehr an, und dann war heute in der Post ein Päckchen aus den USA, hab mich natürlich gleich draufgestürzt und ausgepackt, herauskam dann dieser schöne quilt "Sewing Serenity" von Linda aus Maryland.

Der Quilt ist perfekt für ein Nähzimmer, das ich leider noch nich habe, aber kommt hoffentlich bald *g* Das mittlere hellblaue Panel ist teilweise bestickt und eine tolle Stickschere gabs noch dazu, hatte ja noch gar keine und so was kann man ja immer gebrauchen. Amelie hat sich sofort in den Quilt verliebt und hergeben will sie ihn gar nicht mehr.

I couldnt believe it, was thinking that he will never arrive and then he was here. The mailman brought this morning the mails and when I was reading USA on it, had to open it as fast as I could. And then there he was, or she? *g* "Sewing Serenity" by Linda from Maryland.

This quilt would be perfect for a sewing, I dont have one yet, but now I need one to hang it up there. The blue moda panel is full of stitches and there was also a wonderful stitching scissor, I hadnt one before, so what a great little gibt. Thank you Linda, love this little quilt, and as you can see Amelie is adoring it too.

Eigentlich wollte uns Rici ja letzte Woche besuchen ist dann aber leider krank geworden und wir mussten es auf unbestimmte Zeit verschieben. Und dann kam heute ganz unerwartet ein großes Päckchen von ihr an, mit einer total süßen Karte, einem Buch für Amelie, über das sie ganz aus dem Häuschen ist weil so schöne Tiere darin sind, Schoki für Michael und ganz ganz viele und wunderschöne Stoffe. Danke schön Rici hab mich so gefreut.

Last week Rici wanted to visit us, but she got ill, and you want guess it, today arrived a parcel from her. A cute book for Amelie, she is loving all those tiny animals in it, chocolate for Michael and lots of fabric for myself. Thank you Rici for this present, I really love it.
