WIP Wednesday – Happy Mail and 2 Finishes

Yesterday was a happy mail day over here, already started planning some more projects with my new Bundles. I got Hothouse Flowers & Sweet As Honey, my first sidekick ruler by jaybirquilts and over 100 zippers from zipit.

Finished:

Circle of Geese Pillow -– Got so excited when my new printer arrived, so I had to do some paper piecing. Totally missed it the last 2 years without. And the best part its already finished. Glad my zippers arrived yesterday. Did a zipper closure and for the first time it worked like a charm no struggling or ripping out a thousand times, just one try and perfect fit. Why cant they all be this way? Will do a separate post with more close-up shots soon.



Pouch for my father -– This one is also finished since yesterday and I totally like it. Its really big, 12” wide, but he requested it this way. I used again the tutorial by 1/4 inch mark. Also included pockets inside. Now just hoping he likes it.

Once Upon A Time Sampler -– finished finally my April block, yeah I know Im a bit behind. Totally love this block with Goldilocks and the three bears –- the cutest



Double Bed Quilt -– Did 4 more blocks on this quilt
Every Which Way Pillow #2 - finished, just need to take some pictures
Friendshipstar Quilt - is finished (just need to photograph it)
Starsurround QAL - cushion top finished, need to sew it together
Once Upon A Time Sampler -– started April block

Everyday Bag

 

Im happy to show you my brand new  “Everday Bag”, I tested for Nilya. Head over to her blog, to win some wonderful Aurifil threads. And you can find the pattern over at craftsy.

I got it nearly finished in during one sewing day, but then I had to stop for the metal handle parts. I was searching everywhere, but no one had them locally, so I ordered. When they arrived they were a bit too big, but my deadline was already too close so I used them. Im sure I will replace them with smaller ones when I get them. So here is my finished bag:

WIP Wednesday – Finishes and Sneak-Peeks

Little Miss Ida Charlotte is already 8 month old, can sit perfectly and already started pulling herself up on her feet. My little baby girl is growing too fast.

Finished:

Schnitzel & Boo Mini Quilt Swap –- 12” mini quilt and a coordinating mug rug are finished. I wont reveal the whole design yet, because it will become a free pattern here on my blog after my partner received her package.

Everyday Bag -– I have another finish. Like you know I was pattern testing for Nilya. Will post more pictures, when Nilya reveals her bag pattern.

Started:

Bag for my Father - My father requested a week ago that he is in need of a new big bag for his washing utensils. He searched my stash and picked out the blues and greens from the sunnyside collection by Kate Spain. Just have to wait now for my over 100 zippers purchase yesterday.

In Progress:

Double Bed Quilt–- Its still a secret so I will just show some sneak peeks again. I have now 12 12” Blocks finished, total i need 36, but I dont hurry, there is no deadline for this quilt.
