WIP Wednesday – Back to normal again

 

Our Life is finally back to normal again, and Im really happy about this. Our wedding was beautiful, the weather not so. After we both said “ I do”, seconds later we had a storm, heavy rain and also some hail. 20 minutes later there was sunshine for one hour and then horrible rain again. But I think we got some great pictures, I cant show you yet, because we have to wait 3 more weeks, till we get them from our photographers but my uncle was so nice and took a short video from our ceremony.

Want to show you the present my little brother gifted to me. Totally love the quilt ladder he designed for me.

Finished:

Hubbys Bedquilt – 2 Days before our wedding day I finished handbinding Daniels Bedquilt and gifted it on our big day. He was totally happy about it. Just some stitch in the ditch and outlining each block. And also included a tiny free-motion love note for him.

Started:

Schnitzel & Boo Miniquilt Swap – Started on the mini for my partner and designed a new mini pattern with tiny flying geeze. 1 block measures 6”.

 

Everyday Bag –-– got the metal pieces today, so I hope I finish it soon.

Throw Bedquilt - just 4 blocks done out of 36

Every Which Way Pillow #2 - still needs to attach binding by hand (will do this evening at my guild meeting)

Friendshipstar Quilt - is finished (just need to photograph it)

Starsurround QAL - cushion top finished, need to sew it together

Once Upon A Time Sampler -– started April block

WIP Wednesday – Didnt got much done

 

Just 4 more days until I’m married and still so much to do, that has to wait until one day before the wedding. So Im sure, friday I will be totally stressed out, but I fear sleeping will be overrated. Yesterday evening we worked nearly 2 hours just to make the nametags on the lemons and prepare the guest presents.

I have a big picture lack this week, didnt got much done, like I hoped.

Finished:

Wedding Ring Cushion -– I totally love how it turned out, cant wait to display it at my wedding ceremony.

Ongoing:

Hubbys Bedquilt -– Finished all the quilting on it, attached the binding already, so I just have to handbind it. Totally love this stripey binding.

Everyday Bag -– no more progress on this, ordered a metal part, but no one has it, so I have to wait, and really hope now to meet the finish deadline.

"Flying Birds" arrived

Mein Miniquilt "Flying Birds" für den Modify Tradition SWAP, ist heil in seinem neuen zuhause in den USA angekommen und hängt nun in Shelleys Nähzimmer.

My miniquilt "Flying Birds" for the Modify Tradition SWAP, arrived at its new home in the USA, and is now hanging in Shelley's sewing room.

Im glad she loves it so much, like it did making it.

SWAP Miniquilt finished

Hab gestern abend noch das Binding angenäht und heute war er schon beim Waschen und ist bereits halbtrocken. Einen Namen hab ich auch schon, "Flying Birds", zumindest sieht es für mich aus als würden 4 Vögel in die Mitte fliegen. Wenn er trocken ist werde ich noch das Label anbringen und dann kann es bereits auf den Weg zu meiner Partnerin gehen. Hoffe es gefällt ihr dann auch.

Yesterday evening I finished the binding on my SWAP miniquilt, it is washed and is drying now. And guess what, I have a name for it, "Flying Birds", it looks for me if there are 4 birds flying into the middle. When he is dry I will label him and he will be sent off to my partner. Hope she likes it.
