WIP Wednesday – Cuteness Overload (long post)

 

Last week I was busy introducing myself for the 2014 New Bloggers Blog Hop, so I skipped WIP Wednesday, but this week Im back. A little bit more to show this week, if you dont mind.

I have a question, maybe there are some cross stitchers out there. I drafted a cross stitch design, also found some programs, to do it with. But I would need a program, that can save my chart as a .jpg or .pdf and until now I havent found one. So maybe you could recommend me one please.

Our Little Miss Ida is already 9 month old, can crawl perfectly and so damn fast lol, pulls herself up everywhere, and wants to walk the whole time with mommy - so not long and she will be everywhere.

 

With a really sad heart I had to bring my sewing machine back to the shop, coz of horrible tension issues, they sent her immediately to service, and now the horrible long waiting time begins. maybe 3 weeks, and then Im on vacation, so this is quite long for me. Luckily, my grandma gave me a few month ago her 12 year old brother sewing machine, she never really used it, and she works perfectly. So Im sewing on her right now, just have to wait with my free-motion-quilting projects. But the rest is just fine on her.

Happy Mail:

I totally love happy mail days, like you already know, and this was one of the best ones. Love to design in EQ7 still a lot to learn, but Im getting there.

Released:

Released yesterday my new mini quilt pattern on craftsy - free for you all. You can read more about it, in this post.

Finished:

They are already well used since 2 weeks, and we both love to sleep on our new pillow cases, they are totally soft.

 

Started:

Plus Quilt - Since a really long time I want to make a plus quilt. So I pulled out the bright and happy Hothouse Flowers Bundle by Mo Bedell, and I will do a plus quilt for my little daugther. Still need to cut a ton more white solids.

 

Sweet Tooth - The Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery released another cute little pattern, and I just had to grab it, hope to make it into a little pouch or wall hanging – havent decided yet.

Ongoing:

Kira - Got a bit more done on my “Kira – the kangaroo” Doll, and found the perfect wooden yarn bowl at IKEA. I just love such decoration stuff.

Caravan Pillow–- just finished the paper piecing on my caravan, but now it has to wait till I get my machine back and then I will turn it into a cute pillow for my dad.

Double Bed Quilt ––- still on the waiting list

Every Which Way Pillow #2 - finished, just need to take some pictures

Friendshipstar Quilt - is finished (just need to photograph it)

Starsurround QAL - cushion top finished, need to sew it together

Once Upon A Time Sampler -– started Mai block

WIP Wednesday – So many finishes (long post)

 

Yesterday was another happy mail day, but not fabric this time. My wool arrived to finish my “Kira” the kangaroo doll and do a few of the other laylala dolls.

 

 

Started:

Caravan Paper Piecing –- I started my next paper piecing project 2 days ago, and nearly finished all tiny bits, but then I had to stop coz I got a major headache and I just had to lay down. But tomorrow I had a sewing day over at a lovely friends house. Im impressed we even found time to sew with all 6 kids together, but they behaved really well and so I got nearly my whole caravan finished.

Finished:

Paper Piecing –- Started this cute Flower Pot Pattern “Hello Spring” by Charise Creates, last week and totally loved it, how easy it was. My second paper piecing project and Im already addicted to it.

 

Since a long time now I wanted to make one of these pouches by noodlehead, but not sure I just wasnt thinking really logical lol, coz after cutting the corners, I immediately knew I did something really stupid. Yes now I have the flower pot on the bottom. Its just for me so I dont mind, the pouch is still the cutest I have ever made, and really really big. Now I can fit in all my sewing notions when I go on my guild meeting.

Summer Sparkler - I totally love all those cross stitch patterns by The Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery and had to stitch it immediately when I saw it, its just the cutest. Even Im not American, I loved it, it will go into a miniquilt for my lovely friend Tanyia.

Key Fobs –- I also tried my hand on some key fobs. The first one was a bit too soft, so I made another one with a more stiff batting and I love it, its already on my keys.

Dresden Pillow -– My mom requested another pillow in the colorway she already got a few things. This are not my colors, definitely not, but I have to say I really like this pillow now.

Cassette Pillow Case (for Hubby) –- finished the top yesterday

WIP Wednesday – Little Progress

 

My Aurifil order from Massdrop arrived last week and made me totally happy to have now more every day colors for my quilting.

Little Miss Ida Charlotte, seems to love Aurifil too, she grabbed them all the whole time and got really mad, when they fell on the floor.

Started:

Churn Dash Pillow Case - Since a few weeks I really want to do something with a churn dash and I asked hubby what he wants me to sew with my new bundles, he didnt thought long about it and just said, he wants some cool pillow cases – I just gave him this look and said, are you sure, we can buy some, but he just said, I cant buy quilted ones – he is right, so I will do some Pillow Cases for us. But dont worry the pics underneath are just for me, not really his colors, he requested something blue and no churn dash.

This is how far I came, waiting for batting now to arrive. Not sure if I shall quilt them, coz we are sleeping on them. But I really would love to quilt them slightly.

“Kira” the Kangaroo - A few days ago I found really cute crochet animal dolls on instagram and started searching for the patterns – lalylala is selling them and I immediately had to buy the kangaroo. Right now Im a bit further than my picture, the body is already finished.

And really thats it for this week, seems my sewing mojo is totally gone, havent done anything now since days, and thats really not typical for me. Hopefully its back in full swing when my batting arrives end of this week. I just need to get my butt up.

Yummi Gurumi - neues Buch

Hab mir mein Weihnachtsgeschenk gekauft, irgendwas muss man sich ja auch mal selber gönnen, Hier ein paar Bilder aus dem Buch.

Deckenfortschritt /progress of the blanket

So sieht das aus wenn Mama an der Babydecke häkelt und Amelie in ihrem Schoß schläft. Scheint unbequem zu sein, aber sie liebt es. *g*
Thats what it looks like if Mum is crocheting the blanket and Amelie sleeping on Mamas legs. Seems to be uncomfortable, but she loves it there.



Hier nun das Fortschrittsfoto, denke die Hälfte hab ich bereits geschafft.

And this is my progress of the baby blanket. I think I did half of it.



So und jetzt ist erst mal ein Spaziergang angesagt, sonst wirds draußen noch kälter.

Nadelkissen / Pincushion

Hab gerade mein Nadelkissen für den Forumswettbewerb fertig gestellt, leider darf ichs nicht zeigen, da auch einige aus dem Forum diesen Blog lesen. *zu Manja, Eva-Maria und Nixus rüberschiel*

Außerdem hab ich noch an der Babydecke weitergearbeitet und naja sie wächst Reihe um Reihe, aber doch ziemlich langsam. Foto zeige ich euch morgen dann mal, Amelie verlangt grad nach Aufmerksamkeit. *g*

Some minutes ago I finished my pincushion for a competition of a craftforum, but Im so sry Im not allowed to show, after the competition is finished. And some people from the craftforum are reading this blod, for example: Manja, Eva-Maria und Nixus
I also crocheted at the blanket for Amelie, she is growing row by row, but so slowly. Tomorrow I will show a pic of it, but now Amelie is crying for attention.

Fortschritt / Progress

Zwar etwas spät, aber doch, zeig ich euch mein vorankommen, bei der Häkelgardine. Mehr gibts heute nicht mehr von mir zu lesen, werd jetzt schlafen gehen. Wünsch euch noch ne gute Nacht.

2. WISP...

... in Angriff genommen. Die Häkelgardine. Hatte anfangs erst 3 Blümchen gehäkelt, mittlerweile werden nur noch 5 Blumen als Borte benötigt, danach gehts an die Gardine selbst. Naja und ein zweites Fenster hab ich ja auch noch. Mein Freund meinte: "Ans zweite Fenster muss schon dasselbe hin, sonst siehts doof aus." Ich dann: "Aber das is so viel Arbeit, das is dir schon klar." Mein Freund: "Natürlich, aber du schaffst das schon!" Na toll, keine Vorstellung von Arbeit *g*

Nebenbei wächst meine Babydecke weiterhin, Reihe für Reihe, wenn auch etwas zu langsam für meinen Geschmack. Aber fertig kriege ich sie bis zur Geburt sowieso nicht mehr, also keinen Stress aufkommen lassen. *g*

... is started. The crochet curtain. At the beginning, when I found it in my basket I had only 3 crochet flowers, and meanwhile I need only 5 flowers for the border, than I can start with the curtain. Hmm and the second window is also there, so not too less work *g*
My friend said: "On the second window you have to put the same, you know? If not, it would look horrible." My answer: "Really? But thats so much work." My friend said: "I know, its much work, but Im sure you will do it, my darling." He has no imagination of work, Im sure! *g*

Im also working on the babyblanket. Its crowing row by row, but for my taste a little bit slow. Until I give birth it wont be finished, so I dont need to hurry up. *g*

Endlich...

... mal wieder was fertig gestellt. Ein Häkeldeckchen mit blauem Garn, leider noch nicht gestärkt, werd ich aber noch nachholen.





Und bereits Pulswärmer für meine immerfrierende kleine Schwester in weinrot begonnen.

Stelle nachträglich noch ein paar Weihnachtsfotos ein, wo ich eifrig am Geschenke auspacken war, da werde ich jedes Jahr zum kleinen Kind. *g*

Hab mein Mobile fertig gestellt, leider etwas schief abfotografiert. Kommen aber bestimmt noch einige Tierchen dazu, muss nur erst wieder welche fertigstellen und nicht immer gleich verschenken. *g*

Hier die versprochene Babydecke in Detailansicht. Länge beträgt 1m, am Ende soll sie quadratisch sein, habe aber leider erst ca 20cm an Höhe geschafft. Häkle im Stäbchenblockmuster um dicker und flauschiger werden zu lassen, damit sie schön warm für den Winter ist.

Hier nochmal das ganze aufgehäuft.

Hab vorgestern noch ein kleines Schlafsternchen aus dem Handarbeitsforumsadventskalender gehäkelt.

Arbeite nebenbei noch an einer Babydecke, die möglichst bald fertig werden soll, am besten noch bevor meine kleine Tochter zur Welt kommt. Fortschrittsanzeigen stelle ich in den nächsten Tagen mal ein.

Nach einigen Tagen im Krankenhaus, kann ich euch endlich mal wieder was von mir zeigen.

Hier mal mein neuer Manta-Rochen, als Geburtstagsgeschenk für meine kleine Schwester.
